“The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” – Albert Einstein

Welcome to WikiSCM — a site designed to support the art and the science of supply chain management through open research, education, publication, and discussion. Supply chain management practioners founded WikiSCM to create an open and collaborative environment to explore the issues facing organizations today. This site serves as a forum for discussions of supply chain management challenges, processes, and best practices. This is a non-commercial environment; therefore the discussion of any vendors, solution providers, or competitors is prohibited.

Organizations face new operational demands that require rapid, efficient resolution across a scale and scope not faced before. Traditional approaches to supply chain strategy have become obsolete. Process or software alone cannot solve today’s requirements for rapid best-in-class results. Systems, process, technologies, and services must deliver immediate results and lay the framework for ongoing incremental value. Traditional solution categories are static in nature and design—your business environment is not.

The rules of engagement are simple; all are welcome to contribute and share thoughts, experiences and opinions. This is a non-commercial environment; therefore the discussion of any vendors, solution providers, or competitors is prohibited and will not be published. You can submit your contributions at the page level within each topic. wikiSCM will grow organically through each individual contribution and will become a living a breathing repository of global supply chain intellectual property.
